Yuji Miura’s Sabukaze Sueki ware exudes a gentle warmth, inviting you to embrace its simplicity and use them in your everyday life. In an anagama wood kiln that he built himself, Miura-san fires alone over a few days. His pieces beautifully showcase the interplay between traditional Sueki-style firing and modernity of daily life.

Notes
Notes
Pieces are handcrafted and fired unglazed in a anagama wood kiln to temperatures exceeding 1200°C. They capture the path of the flame, the natural ash deposits from the wood firing process, and gradients of grey achieved during the cooling process.
All pots are food-safe and washing by hand is recommended. As pots are unglazed, it is normal that they may stain over time with prolonged use.
