A guinomi cup, semi-glazed in a white ash glaze. Ash flows and forms a bead at the base of the cup. Suitable for sake or tea.
Reduction gas-fired to 1300c
White Stoneware Blend.

- Ash glazes are glazes that are formulated using various ashes from wood/plant/straw. These will melt under high fire to form a glassy layer and many variations and colours can be achieved by varying the quantity and type of ash used. Ash glazes often have unique characteristics as they flow, pool and form rivulets, and generally produce earthly colours like browns and greens.
