This small collection features daily ware made in Singapore, as I continue to explore the styles of kohiki (white slip), hai-yuu (ash glazes), and yakishime (unglazed) in my work. Most of my work are semi-glazed.
Each piece reflects my ongoing interest in bringing what I have learnt from my stints in Japan into the modern life, balancing a clean and refined look with organic and natural forms.

Collection: Tokoname
Tokoname is located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan and it is also one of the six ancient kiln sites of Japan. Works here used both Shigaraki and Tokoname clay, with the firing lasting about 52 hours, creating unique ash deposit that can only be achieve in a wood kiln.
